Welcome to our RV Odyssey from Hudson, Ohio, May 13 to Anchorage, Alaska, June 2. We are delivering one of the new 25 foot Winnebago fleet from the manufacturer in Forest City, Iowa, to the dealer at Great Alaska Adventures in Anchorage, Alaska. Please join us on our trip by virtual reality using this blog. We will attempt to share our travel wit and wisdom, the ridiculous cost of fuel and places where the wildlife outnumber humans. Your presence will help us combat too much togetherness and any prolonged urges to strangle each other. We will try to make daily entries depending on Internet access.
Driving this route is not unique to us, we did it in 1984 with a new Surburban and 18 foot tandem trailer. Brenna was 3 and Seth was 8 months. And both grandma's joined us. Our route will vary from that historic adventure and it is just we two this time....together, 24/7 for 18 days....
The blog will continue as we stay for 10 days in the Anchorage area visiting Brenna and our return trip via the Alaska ferry to Bellingham, Washington. The trip ends with a stayover with Bloombergs in Olympia and then we fly home.
